Raul's Bio
Raul started his musical career at the early age of 14 when, after much begging and pleading, his older brother Carlos purchased him a used set of Gretch Drums. "It was the most pathetic looking four piece drum kit with one Zildijan symbol attached to the Bass drum. I fell in love with it immediately and still have and use that symbol." Raul’s gift for drumming was immediately apparent and within a year, he was recruited by Carlos as the drummer for "Trip Wire," an original rock n roll band which Raul later co-managed. Raul was also called upon to fill in for a few gigs by "TNT," a thirteen piece latin jazz orchestra which Carlos was also a member of for ten years.

After Trip Wire’s demise in 1990, Raul joined "Stained Glass," a cover band that heavily favored Led Zeppelin with a few other tasty songs thrown in such as Cream’s "Badge," and Heart’s "Barracuda" to name a few. Raul’s thunderous yet sharp and masterfully syncopated drumming with Stained Glass made him a much sought after drummer. In 1993, after years of gigs with Stained Glass, Raul was recruited by "Led Pekker," a hard rock and blues power trio that performed covers including Cream’s "Tales of Brave Ulysses," Edgar Winter’s "Frankenstein," and ZZ Top’s "Cheap Sunglasses." Raul performed with the members of Led Pecker, later renamed "Buzzard," until 2006 while also playing numerous gigs with "The Shots," a Blues Rock cover band.

Although Raul and his brother Carlos have always played an important musical factor in each of their respective careers, it was not until 2007 that they formally reunited after the formation of "Ramblin Dawgs," NJ’s Premier Rockin Blues Band. Together, they look forward to "Rockin the Blues" and making use of Raul’s degree from I.A.R. in Recording, Engineering and Production by recording Ramblin Dawgs’ first CD due out 2008.
