RAMBLIN DAWGS

Anthony DiMauro joined the Ramblin Dawgs late 2010 and is looking forward to performing and recording with the band.

Anthony has a unique approach to the bass from playing many different styles of music such as Rock, Jazz, Blues, Latin and R&B. He started taking piano lessons at age five and then moved over to the upright bass at the age of eleven. By sixteen he was playing professionally. Growing up in a talented musical family, he studied music theory under his father, the late Caesar DiMauro. Caesar was a highly regarded saxophonist that toured and recorded with Tony Bennett, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James and Art Mooney. Anthony later played with Caesar’s jazz quartet.

In 1990 Anthony was one of the founding members of the cover band Bar-Fly who played frequently in the tri state area. Bar-Fly was known for their wide variety of music and authentic replication of songs and artists.

As a member of the Ramblin Dawgs, Anthony completes the lineup perfectly.

Influences: Jaco Pastorious, Victor Wooten, John Patitucci and Stanley Clarke.
